Traditional large-tonnage electric press brakes face inherent challenges in screw-driven guidance systems. Typically, these systems rely on slide plate guidance. However, during operation, the side panel’s throat undergoes deformation due to applied force, with greater bending forces leading to more significant deformation. This misalignment between the slide guidance and the screw transmission’s force direction places undue stress on the screw, causing bending deformation and even risking breakage. This not only disrupts the press brake’s normal operation but also poses serious challenges to machining accuracy and equipment stability.

 

Relying on profound technical expertise and relentless exploration, the Deratech R&D team has ingeniously developed a next-generation large-tonnage electric servo CNC press brake equipped with an independent screw-driven guidance system. This innovative design effectively prevents throat deformation of the side panels from interfering with the screw transmission, acting as a robust defense for the system. During operation, regardless of throat deformation, the screw maintains precise and stable transmission, ensuring high accuracy for every bending operation.

 

 

After over a year of rigorous testing and use at customer sites, this press brake has successfully entered mass production, with its reliability and stability thoroughly validated. Recently, an EPP-160/3200 press brake, equipped with a Cybelec VP88 CNC system, was delivered to a customer in Dalian, Liaoning Province. This machine not only features the advanced independent screw-driven guidance technology but also incorporates:

  • A dual-axis servo-controlled follow-up support system that accurately supports the sheet during bending, reducing labor intensity and further enhancing machining precision and efficiency.
  • A DSP safety light curtain, offering comprehensive safety protection for operators and ensuring a worry-free production process.
  • A 6-axis backgauge system, which provides:

Enhanced machining precision: By adjusting the backgauge position to the optimal state for each workpiece, machining precision is significantly improved.

Broader applicability: The 6-axis backgauge accommodates various sheet sizes and shapes, making it suitable for processing complex and high-precision workpieces like electronic enclosures and digital device housings.

Higher production efficiency: Its high precision and flexibility minimize defects caused by misalignment, reduce adjustment times, and boost overall productivity.

Improved stability: Designed for stability, the 6-axis backgauge ensures precise positioning even at high operating speeds, reducing vibration and deviation.

 

The VP88 system offers an intelligent and user-friendly control interface, enabling operators to easily set bending parameters and execute complex bending processes with precision.
